President: Heather Rogers


Heather has served as President of Junior Achievement since 1999. Heather joined Junior Achievement after a six-year tenure at United Way of Southern Kentucky. While at United Way, she held positions of Marketing Director and Director of Community Investments.

Heather is a graduate of Western Kentucky University with a BA in Advertising and is an alumnus of Warren Central High School.

A mother of two, Heather also finds time to volunteer for numerous community organizations including BG Junior Woman’s Club, Professional Marketing Association, WKU Warren County Alumni Club, Potter Gray Elementary PTA and the BG Area Chamber of Commerce. Heather is a 1997 graduate of Leadership Bowling Green, a Chamber Ambassador and the 2006 Athena Award recipient.

Heather was recognized by the worldwide Junior Achievement organization as a finalist for the 2003 Karl Flemke Pioneer Achievement Award.

Program Manager of Warren, Simpson and Logan Counties: Ashley Shelley


Ashley is a December 2010 graduate of Western Kentucky University and is a member of the Professional Marketing Association, and Alpha Omicron Pi alumna, and a former WKU cheerleader. Ashley is a volunteer for Big Brothers Big Sisters of South Central Kentucky, and serves on the Bowling Green Area Chamber of Commerce’s Workforce Development Committee and Work Ethic Seal Subcommittee.

As a program manager, Ashley administers and manages all school programs and volunteers in Warren, Simpson, and Logan counties. She also coordinates programs in Cumberland county as well as working with the Work Ethic Seal program in Edmonson county.



Program Manager for Allen, Barren and Hart Counties: Rose Mary Byrd


Prior to joining Junior Achievement, Rose Mary retired form the State Transportation Cabinet where she worked as Administrative Assistant II. Her duties included environmental inspections as well as coordinating the maintenance offices in Allen, Monroe and Warren counties. Rose Mary serves on the KY Foster Care Review Board & Allen ASAP Board. She has worked for Weight Watchers, International for ten years, owns and operated Eighty-Eight, Freedom and Forty-Four Markets. She was recognized in 1988 with the Athena award for Community Service. Byrd graduated from Lindsey Wilson College with a Bachelors Degree and is currently seeking a Masters Degree in Communication at Western KY University.

Byrd’s responsibilities for Junior Achievement include administering and managing all school programs in the two counties, recruitment and maintaining classroom volunteers, coordinating programs with school officials and teachers at all levels of the school system, and supporting fundraising and special events.
