The eleventh annual Junior
Achievement Mini Corvette Challenge presented by Houchens
Industries culminated Saturday, April 23 with the team from
Sun-Dollar General taking the Championship Gold Cup trophy at
Greenwood Mall for the second year in a row.
Western Kentucky University
took the checkered flag in the Silver Cup Race and Source
Capital #9 took home the Bronze Cup. The event also included a
tire changing competition. The team from Gunter Construction &
Roofing took the honor of fastest tire change.
Taking awards in
the Sears Craftman Challenge riding lawn mower race was Wes
Cottongim from Briarwood Elementary School. The Papa John's
Pride Cup and a $500 Spirit Award was presented to Rockfield
Elementary for having the most students in attendance. |
