Junior Achievement has a lot of exciting programs in the works!

Junior Achievement of South Central Kentucky was chosen to be one of the 12 cities to pilot the new US History based program, JA America Works! The pilot took place during the Spring 2006 semester. Two classes experienced the new program at Bowling Green Junior High School along with one class at Warren East Middle School. The program is scheduled for international release on September 1, 2006.  JA America Works focuses on the impact of business and entrepreneurship on the development of the United States during the 19th century.

The program is designed around six important themes: Immigration, Agriculture, Natural Resources, Transportation, Communication, and Industrialization.

The Bowling Green Chamber of Commerce and its Workforce Development Committee has partnered with JA to promote great work ethic skills with a new initiative called the Work Ethic Seal.  The Warren County and Bowling Green Graduating Class of 2005 will be have the opportunity to attend a JA Success Skills class as part of the requirements to earn the Work Ethic Seal.  To learn more about the requirements students must meet to qualify, see Partnerships, under Local Programs at the left of your screen.
