JA of South Central Kentucky Reaches Gold Summit Status

President Heather Rogers and former Program Manager Laura Goodman accept the 2011 Gold Summit Award from JA USA President Jack Kosakowski at the recent JA National Leadership Conference in Boston. The Summit Award is presented annually to JA USA area offices that meet the criteria in the categories of financial solvency, program quality, management effectiveness, and program growth. The Gold level recognizes Summit status for 6-8 consecutive years.

TVA Partners with JA

Heather Rogers accepts a check for $5,000 from Roxann Fry, Senior Consultant, Kentucky Region of Tennessee Valley Authority. TVA grant funds will be used to sponsor 10 high school classrooms with the Junior Achievement curriculum, Success Skills, in Barren, Edmonson, Logan, Monroe and Warren counties. This is JA's version of work-readiness bootcamp.
